The Titans send Jeffery Simmons and a 2028 fifth-round pick to the Bears in exchange for a 2027 first-round pick, a 2028 first-round pick, and a 2027 fourth-round pick.
Simmons, 29, was drafted by the Tennessee Titans with the 19th overall pick in 2019. Since then, the former Mississippi State Bulldog has grown into one of the league's premier defensive tackles - Simmons has four Pro Bowl nods, two-time Second-Team All-Pro and was named a First-Team All-Pro after a stellar 2025 season with 11 sacks, 17 tackles for loss, and 3 forced fumbles.
Through 7 games in 2026, Simmons has gathered 4 sacks, 6 tackles for loss, and 9 QB hits. In eight seasons (104 starts), Simmons has tallied 46.5 sacks, 72 TFLs, 96 QB hits, 209 solo tackles, and 9 forced fumbles.
Simmons signed a three-year, $105.8 million extension, with $100 million guaranteed, with the Titans in June. He is under contract through the 2030 season.
The 1-6 Tennessee Titans are a prime trade partner ahead of the November 10 deadline, with RB Tony Pollard, CB Alontae Taylor, and DE Jermaine Johnson III reportedly also trade candidates in Nashville.
The 5-2 Chicago Bears acquired Simmons just days after DE Montez Sweat, Simmons' former teammate at Mississippi State, returned from a two-game suspension for violating the league's performance-enhancing substance policy.
The Bears defense is going through a strong season, ranking 8th in sacks (19), 7th in rushing yards allowed (613), and 4th in pressure rate (28.0%).
Simmons is looking to replace veteran Grady Jarrett at starting tackle. The 33-year-old Jarrett has posted zero sacks through seven starts, while totalling 4 solo tackles and 4 QB hits.
