Danish clubs were generally quite fortunate when the draw for the next round of the qualification for the Champions League, Europa League and the Conference League today was made in UEFA's headquarters in Nyon in Switzerland.

On Tuesday, AGF begin their quest for a Champions League spot, and if the Danish champions defeat Poland's Lech Poznań over two legs, either Sabah FK from Azerbaijan or Finland's KuPS awaits in the next qualifying round.

This was confirmed after UEFA conducted the draw for the third round of the Champions League qualification on Monday. Both Sabah and KuPS won their respective domestic league titles last season—in Azerbaijan and Finland, respectively.

The draw was definitely favorable for AGF, who could have been drawn against stronger opponents such as last year's Swedish champions, Mjällby AIF.

Things look slightly more difficult for FC Midtjylland, who are set to face Norwegian outfit Tromso or Czech contenders FC Hradec Kralove if they manage to beat Besiktas in the second round of the qualification for the Europa League. FC Nordsjaelland recently faced the Czechs in a summer friendly and lost 3-0.

Tromso is currently showing very solid form in the Norwegian league. The club, which finished third in the Eliteserien last year, is currently the league's top team.

FC Copenhagen will travel to either Hungary or Armenia in the third qualifying round of the Conference League if the club defeats Ukrainian side FC Polissya in the second round.

At the draw held in Nyon, Switzerland, on Monday, Bo Svensson's outfit was drawn against either Debreceni FC or FC Pyunik. Finally Last season's Superliga bronze medalists FC Nordsjalland are set to face Swedish side GAIS in the second qualifying round, and should they emerge victorious, either Iceland's Valur or HSK Zrinjski from Bosnia and Herzegovina awaits in the next round.
