Reigning Champions League champions, Györi Audi ETO KC, completed an comeback against Brest in the final minutes of the second semi-final at the Final Four to secure a place in the final for the third consecutive year with a 31-30 win.

The match began with an immense intensity which set the tone for the rest of the match as both Brest and Györ's leading goal scorers in the semi-final were sent off as both sides were willing to play physical handball in their attempt to get an important victory.

The defending champions managed to take a narrow lead (17-16) at the half-time break despite Brest beginning the match on the front foot, as the reigning champions could not find the goal in the first three minutes of the game.

Dione Housheer was man of the match with five goals from six attempts in the first half and added four more in the second half to claim a big share in Gyor's ticket to the final.

The hard-fought contest continued in the second half, as momentum swung from one side to the other, and with the result being in Brest's favour (30-29) with just six minutes to go, it seemed like the champions' run in Budapest was finally coming to an end.

But Gyor launched a dramatic comeback as both Kristina Jorgensen and Kelly Dulfer found the back of the net in the final minutes, before the Hungarians' stubborn defense stopped a seven-against-six attack from Brest to continue their unbeaten run at the MVM Dome Budapest, which stretches back to 2023.
