After six consecutive wins to start the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) season, Frolunda have lost back-to-back matches, with the later defeat coming away at promoted IF Bjorkloven, whose dream start continued. In a repeat of the 2026 play-off final, Skelleftea once again got the better of Rogle.

Frolunda hold onto second place but they only stay above IF Bjorkloven by virtue of scoring four more goals this season, as the 3-2 victory for the newcomers sees them match the European champions on 17 points from eight matches so far.

The teams were level on the ice as well after 20 minutes, as Oscar Tellstrom's opener for the hosts was cancelled out by Filip Cederqvist, but the second period belonged to Bjorkloven, as Emil Alba put them back in front before Phil Di Giuseppe made the most of a powerplay with three minutes left.

Graeme Clarke had a goal disallowed for Frolunda in the second, meaning Nicklas Lasu's goal with five minutes to go set up a grandstand finish, but turned out to be no more than a consolation for Frolunda, as Bjorkloven bounce back from defeat to Brynas last time out.

Skelleftea got the better of Rogle in the battle for the Le Mat Trophy in the spring, and they did the same when the teams met again up north, as fourth-placed Skelleftea regained their good form after defeat to Farjestad last time with a 3-2 win, while Rogle sit sixth having lost two of their last three.

Jonathan Davidsson put the champions in front with two minutes played despite Skelleftea being shorthanded, but they failed to build on that, allowing Dennis Everberg to score twice in three minutes in period two two turn it around.

However, the momentum swung back SAIK's way in the third, as Mikkel Aagaard levelled in the first minute, before Par Lindholm struck what turned out to be the winner with still over 15 minutes to play.

Frolunda's defeat allowed Farjested to increase their lead at the top to five points as Adam Mattsson scored twice in a 6-2 win over Malmo, the sixth win in a row for FBK, while the Redhawks drop to eighth as their two-game winning run came to an end.

Brynas stay in fifth place despite falling to a 3-2 defeat to HV 71, their third loss in their last four. Justin Kloos struck twice for HV who finally won a match in 60 minutes, and that first victory in three took them out of the relegation zone.

Moving off the bottom of the standings with their second win in a row are Timra, as Tim Barkemo struck four minutes into overtime to win 3-2 at Lulea and consign their ninth-placed hosts to back-to-back losses.

Dropping back to last place but only on goal difference are Linkoping, who were comfortably beaten 5-1 by Djurgarden, whose two wins in a row sees them knocking on the door of the top 10. Sebastian Hartmann scored a brace to help the Stockholm side inflict a fifth defeat in six on Linkoping.

Orebro put an end to their three-match losing streak and are now only outside the top six on goal difference after a 4-2 win at home to Vaxjo, as Patrik Karlkvist and Milton Oscarsson pulled the hosts clear in the final six minutes, leaving the Lakers in 10th and with just one win in four.
