According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea is in advanced talks to secure the services of Portuguese forward Joao Felix.

Joao Felix is, therefore, close to heading to the Premier League, and may see his departure from Atletico Madrid to represent Chelsea confirmed.

On the table, the Colchoneros have a loan proposal until June and, according to the Italian journalist, "the agreement is in its final stages", not contemplating, however, a purchase option.

For the loan, the Blues should pay more than 10 million euros, and negotiations have advanced in recent hours.

According to reports, Manchester United and Arsenal both held discussions with Felix's agent Jorge Mendes. Both clubs, however, considered the loan to be too expensive. Chelsea, struck by many injuries, moved fast. The Athletic's David Ornstein also reports Felix believes in the project Chelsea is building under new ownership of American bussinessman Todd Boehly, despite the recent poor run of form which saw the Blues drop down to 10th in the Premier League and bow out of the FA Cup after a 4-0 beating by Manchester City.
