Harry Kane has spoken on the tension between Thomas Tuchel and Jude Bellingham this week.

After England's quarter-final victory over Norway in Miami, Tuchel called the performance "sloppy" and said that his team had been "lucky".

Bellingham responded with: “Maybe he doesn't know what it takes to play in those conditions against Erling Haaland, Nusa, Sorloth - that's not an easy team to play against."

The comments sparked a whole host of reports suggesting there was a divide between the pair and that the England camp may be descending into chaos before the semi-final clash against Argentina.

Just one day before the clash, Kane has stepped in as a peacemaker as he cools down the situation before tensions rise to a boiling point.

"When you are playing a game like that and to be asked a question five minutes after the final whistle, and he didn't really know what had been said, what do you want Jude to say? We had just been through a battle.

"It is easy to try and create this division - it seems like an English thing to do at these major tournaments. But it is the complete opposite.

"The group is where we are because of our complete togetherness - not just the players, the coach and the staff. Things sometimes get made out to be more than they are."

"He (Tuchel) wears his heart on his sleeve and people appreciate that. When he talks, it is never scripted. That is what makes him who he is."

England and Argentina will clash in Wednesday's second World Cup semi-final in Atlanta. Fans will hope that the Tuchel and Bellingham spat is over ahead of the game, where they must fire on all cylinders.
