The agent of Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has reassured fans of the Reds that the 55-year-old isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

It would be fair to say Liverpool, who are sat ninth in the Premier League table, have endured a roller-coaster of a season thus far.

The Reds will be feeling a little better after their 2-0 win over Napoli in the Champions League earlier this week - a dead rubber game as both sides had already qualified for the last 16, ahead of Ajax and Rangers - ending the Italian side's unbeaten run.

But there has been speculation in some circles that Klopp's long-term future at Anfield could be under scrutiny, despite recently extending his Liverpool contract.

Of course, no manager is untouchable, but the former Borussia Dortmund boss has taken the Reds to the top of the mountain - winning every trophy available to the club in the last four years.

For many Liverpool fans, it feels disrespectful, even blasphemous, to speculate about Klopp's future.

But there need not be much worry - according to the manager's agent, at least.

Speaking to Sky Germany, Marc Kosicke, Klopp's long-time representative, said: "I can assure that Jurgen Klopp has no intention of resigning from Liverpool."

Kosicke also cited that Liverpool's tiring 2021/22 season, in which the Reds reached the finals of the Champions League, FA Cup and EFL Cup, had been recognised before the current campaign began.

He said: "The fact that problems could arise this season, due to the past intensive season, was taken into account by the club's owners before the start of the season.

"Jurgen enjoys the backing of the people in charge and is in regular contact with them. He loves the club, his team and the fans, and is determined to continue and be successful."

Klopp signed an extended contract with Liverpool earlier this year, which will take him up to 2026 as the boss at Anfield. His staff also signed extensions.

"He didn't extend his contract for nothing," added Kosicke.
