Australian Michael Matthews (31) won the 14th stage of the Tour de France, a 192.5-km hilly ride from Saint Etienne on Saturday.

Italian Alberto Bettiol (28) was second and France's Thibaut Pinot (32) came home third. Jonas Vingegaard (25) defended his yellow jersey successfully.
