After we reported a few days ago that Kylian Mbappé was not comfortable with his role at PSG and could be looking to leave the club in the upcoming winter transfer window, French newspaper 'Le Parisien' has given more details about the French striker's mega-contract.
If the player from Bondy decides to stay at his current club until 2025, he would pocket a total of 630 million euros, divided as follows: 72 million per season as a salary; a renewal bonus of 180 to be paid in three instalments; and three loyalty payments depending on how long he stays at PSG - 70 million if he doesn't leave in 2023, 80 if he doesn't leave in 2024 and 90 if he stays beyond 2025.
It is by far the biggest contract ever signed in the history of the sport. It is also the second shortest on the list - three years - after the one signed by boxer Floyd Mayweather (45) - 30 months and six fights - with the Showtime network in 2013, which means that the financial effort that the team from the French capital will have to make is really big.
