Marco Rose got his tenure with RB Leipzig off to the perfect start with a 3-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund, but insisted his players can improve in the coming weeks.

Goals from Willi Orban, Domink Szoboszlai and Amadou Haidara saw Rose's side home to a 3-0 victory, but despite the great start to his time with Leipzig, he knows it could be a steep learning curve for both parties.

"I am now here and try to adapt my ideas. The lads did it well for a first step but we can do it better," said Rose.

"If you are active in the game then this develops energy by itself. The team wants to win, it is used to winning more than losing. It did not work out well in the past weeks and with a new coach this can sometimes set you free."

"But now we have Real, then (away at) Borussia Monchengladbach. A lot of matches and not too big a squad," he said.

Elsewhere, Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann felt his Bayern Munich side didn't deserve any more than a point as they dropped points for a third consecutive game, this time sharing the spoils with Stuttgart in a 2-2 draw.

Bayern, who host Barcelona in the Champions League group stage next week, had only themselves to blame for not killing off Stuttgart earlier, leaving coach Nagelsmann to rue their missed opportunities.

"We played good for a 15-minute spell and also initially in the second half and deserved to go in front," he told a news conference. "But then we were too slow in our game and played on possession.

"We had enough chances to finish off the game. We had enough space to create those chances. But there was not a third goal and then the opponents think maybe they can still get something out of this.

"They got a deserved penalty and then it was 2-2."

Leipzig move up to eight points in 10th place while Dortmund drop to fourth on 12. Bayern Munich are top also on 12, with Freiburg, also on 12 points, facing Borussia Monchengladbach on Sunday.
