Mikko Rantanen scored with 21 seconds left in overtime to lift the Colorado Avalanche past the Edmonton Oilers 6-5 on Sunday in Denver.

Colorado came back from a 5-3 third-period deficit to win its third straight and hand Edmonton its fourth loss in a row. The Avalanche won a faceoff in the Oilers' zone and got the puck to Rantanen, who skated in on his own to score the winning goal. It was his 36th of the season.

J.T. Compher had a goal and three assists, and Nathan MacKinnon posted a goal and two helpers for Colorado. Valeri Nichushkin, Logan O'Connor and Artturi Lehkonen also scored, Samuel Girard had two assists and Alexandar Georgiev turned away 35 shots.

Warren Foegele scored twice, while Mattias Janmark had a goal and an assist for Edmonton. Leon Draisaitl and Tyson Barrie each had a goal, Cody Ceci had two assists and Jack Campbell made 37 saves.

Blackhawks 5, Maple Leafs 3

Patrick Kane tallied his ninth career regular-season hat trick and Cole Guttman's first career goal stood up as the game-winner as host Chicago topped Toronto.

Goaltender Jaxson Stauber stopped 32 of 35 shots to help the Blackhawks win their second straight. Max Domi delivered a goal and three assists. Kane added an assist for a four-point night. John Tavares, Noel Acciari and Mitchell Marner scored for the Maple Leafs, while Morgan Rielly had two assists.

Acciari brought Toronto to within 3-2 with just over two minutes remaining in the second period. Marner tied the game before Guttman answered to give the Blackhawks the lead for good at 11:42 of the third period.

Senators 7, Blues 2

Tim Stutzle scored twice and earned an assist as Ottawa routed visiting St. Louis.

Brady Tkachuk and Alex DeBrincat had a goal and had two assists apiece for the streaking Senators, who are 7-1-1 in their last nine games. Shane Pinto and Drake Batherson each added a goal and an assist for Ottawa. Ridly Greig scored his first NHL goal, Claude Giroux had two assists and Mads Sogaard made 30 saves.

Colton Parayko and Tyler Pitlick scored for the Blues and goaltender Thomas Greiss made 27 saves in his first start since Jan. 26. The Blues have lost two games by a combined score of 11-3 since trading captain Ryan O'Reilly and forward Noel Acciari to Toronto Friday night. Adding to their pain Sunday was the loss of winger Jake Neighbours, who suffered an upper-body injury on his first shift of the game.

Wild 4, Predators 3

Ryan Hartman scored with 21 seconds remaining, and Minnesota defeated Nashville after surrendering a two-goal, third-period lead.

Hartman tipped Jonas Brodin's shot past Juuse Saros for the game-winner just 26 seconds after Nashville had tied it. Kirill Kaprizov scored twice for Minnesota, which improved to 3-2-1 on its seven-game homestand. Filip Gustavsson made 23 saves. Kaprizov has four goals in his past four games and 33 for the season.

Tommy Novak scored his third goal in two games and had two assists for the Predators, who have lost three of four. Roman Josi had a goal and an assist, and Saros made 31 saves.

Devils 4, Jets 2

Fabian Zetterlund and Miles Wood snapped lengthy droughts by scoring the tying and go-ahead goals in a span of 1:51 early in the third period for New Jersey, which went on to beat Winnipeg in Newark, N.J.

Dawson Mercer scored the first goal for the hosts before adding an empty-netter with 55.1 seconds left as the Devils won for the second time in 24 hours. New Jersey beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 5-2 on Saturday. Goalie Mackenzie Blackwood made 23 saves Sunday.

Cole Perfetti and Neal Pionk scored for the Jets, who have lost the first two games of their four-game Eastern Conference road trip. Goalie Connor Hellebuyck recorded 25 saves.

Coyotes 3, Blue Jackets 2, OT

Barrett Hayton scored with 3:00 left in overtime, and Arizona increased its longest point streak in 11 years to nine games with a win against Columbus in Tempe, Ariz.

Hayton scored the first overtime goal of his NHL career on a one-timer off a pass from Matias Maccelli. Travis Boyd and Nick Schmaltz also scored, and Connor Ingram made 34 saves for the Coyotes, who are 5-0-4 in their past nine games.

Boone Jenner had a goal and an assist, Patrik Laine also scored and Elvis Merzlikins made 22 saves for the Blue Jackets, who were trying to win three in a row for the first time this season.
