The New Jersey Devils have gone all in with Connor Hellebuyck's arrival, and on a quiet NHL night, he dominated again as they took down the Vegas Golden Knights on the road, while the Florida Panthers handed the Winnipeg Jets their 8th straight loss.

New Jersey Devils 5-2 Vegas Golden Knights

The New Jersey Devils (9-5-0) have been energized by the arrival of Connor Hellebuyck, and for the second time since arriving, he took the net, this time on the road against the very tough Vegas Golden Knights (9-5-1). He didn't have a major workload again, but facing 21 saves, the former Hart Trophy winner stopped 19 of them, with two goals each to Arseny Gritsyuk and Jack Hughes providing all the offense that New Jersey would need.

It was a poor night all around for Vegas, as Adin Hill allowed four goals on 31 shots, and with very little offensive consistency, the team dropped a rare game on home ice, with the 5-2 defeat taking them to 6-3 at the T-Mobile Arena in 2026/27.

Florida Panthers 5-2 Winnipeg Jets

The Winnipeg Jets (4-7-3) had lost seven straight games coming into Friday's matchup with the Florida Panthers (8-4-2), and unfortunately, things didn't get much better for a team that started the year red-hot. Kyle Connor's 11th goal of the season in the second period made this game 2-1 in favor of Florida, but from there the Panthers truly took over, with two goals in the third period to Anton Lundell not only sealing the 5-2 victory, but his first hat-trick of the season too.

In net for Florida, Akira Schmid played the exact role they needed him too, stopping 22 of the 24 shots he saw on the night, and in the process handed the Jets their eighth straight defeat as they move to 2-3-2 away from home early in 2026/27.

Calgary Flames 6-2 Seattle Kraken

The Calgary Flames (6-7-0) have been one of the NHL's hottest teams as of late, and heading into a clash with the Seattle Kraken (8-5-1), they had reeled off four straight games on home ice, along with five of their last seven overall. They started this one hot and didn't slow down, as Matt Coronato (1G, 3A), Joel Farabee (1G, 2A) and Morgan Frost (1G, 1A) all dominated from start to finish, with Dustin Wolf starring in net, stopping 21 of the 23 shots he faced on the night.

It was not the typical night we've become accustomed too with the 2026/27 Kraken, as Philipp Grubauer was pulled after letting in four goals on just 14 shots, with the team dropping to 4-3-1 away from home this season following the tough defeat.
