Monza's Spanish central defender Pablo Mari (29) returned to training on Wednesday, two months after being stabbed in an attack on a Milan hypermarket in which an employee died and three others were injured.

On Wednesday Monza, where Pablo Mari is on loan from Arsenal, announced the the good news about the central defender returning to work.

Pablo Mari was one of the victims of a knife attack by a mentally disturbed man which resulted in the death of an employee and the somewhat serious injuries of three other people.

The 46-year-old attacker was promptly arrested by Italian police, and Pablo Maru had to undergo surgery to repair the rupture of two muscles, having spent the last few months resting.
