12:00 CET - Good afternoon and welcome to quarter-finals day at the Paris Masters!

It is a big day for a few players as they look to secure qualification for the ATP Finals, including Tommy Paul, who is in action first against fellow American Ben Shelton at 14:00 CET.

Paul must get to the final in Paris to have a chance of qualifying for Turin, but it won't be easy against the third seed.

That is followed by two surprise packages, as Luca van Assche takes on Rinky Hijikata. Both players are appearing in their first Masters 1000 quarter-final, so there is a massive opportunity for the pair.

The night session sees the match of the day, with favourite Carlos Alcaraz clashing with Taylor Fritz. Like Paul, Fritz is eyeing ATP Finals qualification, and needs to reach at least the semis to have a chance. He has been serving amazingly this week, but he won't have a tougher test than the Spaniard.

Finally, Casper Ruud - who has looked fantastic on the indoor courts of Paris - meets Nuno Borges, who is another player in his first Masters quarter-final.
