After FC Bayern's bitter 3-0 defeat in the quarter-final first leg of the Champions League, things are now getting even worse: Bild reports that the two wingers Sadio Mane (31) and Leroy Sane (27) allegedly went at each other after the final whistle.
Mane allegedly punched Sane in the face and hit him on the lip in the catacombs of the Etihad Stadium after the 3-0 defeat against City. A heated discussion between the two was observed on the pitch beforehand.
The discussion then escalated in the dressing room, and fellow players had to mediate. FC Bayern has not yet commented on the report. Sky Germany, on the other hand, reported that Sane was seen on the Bayern pitch with a"protective hand over his mouth".
After landing in Munich, Mane was picked up privately at the airport, while Sane travelled with other teammates in the team bus.
Mane is currently having a difficult time at the record champions and has mostly been a substitute player in recent weeks.
