Eintracht Frankfurt scored a record 10 goals by half-time against fifth-tier St. Tonis before winning the German Cup first-round tie 11-0 on Friday.

In Frankfurt's first competitive match under returning coach Adi Hutter, they were in complete control against the amateur side as they bounced back from a 7-0 drubbing at the hands of Brentford in a friendly in London last Saturday.

The victory was five-time champions Frankfurt's biggest ever German Cup victory, the biggest win for any side since 2021, and the 10-0 half-time score was the highest in the 84-year history of the competition.

Later on Friday, 2025 winners and last season's finalists Stuttgart cruised to a 4-0 victory over third-division Hansa Rostock, with debutant Dzenan Pejcinovic scoring a hat-trick.
