Feyenoord general director Dennis te Kloese has announced his departure from the Rotterdam club following the conclusion of the 2025-26 season.

Te Kloese joined Feyenoord in 2022 after spells with LA Galaxy, the Mexican Football Federation, and various roles with Chivas Guadalajara, Tigres, and Chivas USA.

During Te Kloese's time with Feyenoord, the Rotterdam giants won the Eredivisie in 2022-23, the KNVB Beker in 2023-24, and the Johan Cruyff Shield in 2024-25.

In a statement on the club website, the club also praise Te Kloese for his financial results, with the club's equity growing from €1 million in 2022 to €37 million in the most recent financial reports, while also recording a record revenue of €160 million during the 2024-25 season.

The 52-year-old former scout will end the season with Feyenoord in an attempt to leave the club in the best way possible. "But I can already say that it has truly been a privilege to lead Feyenoord. Of course, not everything has gone perfectly, but together with all colleagues within the club, we have made great strides," he said in a club statement.

Feyenoord are going through a turbulent season with Robin van Persie at the helm, but are in second place with four rounds to go, which gives a direct ticket to the League Phase of next year's UEFA Champions League.

Nonetheless, Feyenoord supporters have been critical of Te Kloese in recent times, with away supporters during the Eredivisie game against FC Utrecht willing their parts of the stands with numerous signs calling for Te Kloese and Van Persie to resign.

"The foundation that is now in place is strong," Te Kloese continued. "I hope the club and its supporters can continue to build on this, including by finally becoming one with the stadium in the near future after decades of complications."

Reports of Te Kloese joining Mexican side Monterrey have been around since before the announcement. The experienced executive is reportedly set to join Monterrey as the club's sporting director, with a move to the country of Te Kloese's wife being too good to turn down.

"What and where the future will bring for me and my family remains to be seen, but regardless, I will always look back on this period with pride, and I wish Feyenoord and all Feyenoorders every success," Te Kloese concluded.
