According to several notable insiders, Bayern Munich have reached an agreement with PSV Eindhoven for the transfer of Ismael Saibari.

The Moroccan international is set to sign a five-year contract in Munich and will cost Bayern Munich up to €55 million, with the fixed fee of €50 million likely to increase through bonuses.

The deal could break PSV's all-time transfer record, which stands at precisely €50 mllion from Hirving Lozano's move to Napoli in 2019.

Vincent Kompany's Bayern were searching for a reinforcement on the left wing after the transfer of Anthony Gordon fell through. The club's management quickly shifted its focus to Saibari after the Spanish-born midfielder played an excellent campaign with PSV, who won the league by a record 19-point margin.

Saibari was named Eredivisie Player of the Season after scoring 15 goals and providing 8 assists in 27 games.

Ismael Saibari joined PSV from KRC Genk's youth academy in 2020 and made his senior debut in November 2020, when he replaced Mario Gotze against ADO Den Haag. In 142 appearances across all competitions, Saibari scored 42 goals and provided 28 assists.

Saibari is the first PSV player to join Bayern directly from the reigning Eredivisie champions. Arjen Robben, Mark van Bommel, and, more recently, Mario Gotze, Malik Tillman, and Ivan Perisic have played for both teams, but no PSV player has ever moved directly to the German record champions.
