Aston Villa and Newcastle United are among Premier League sides ready to tempt Maghnes Akliouche to England.

Tottenham Hotspur have shown the most interest in the player up to now, but hesitations in the market, combined with the threat of relegation, have left the door open for other sides to make an attempt to sign him.

There is an expectation within the game that 24-year-old Akliouche will leave Monaco this summer, and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in keeping him in Ligue 1.

However, scouts from both Villa and Newcastle have been checking him out recently, we understand. There is a feeling that the Premier League is very much on his mind if he decides against staying in the French league.

If the player chooses to pursue the opportunity to play in England, he will have several options to consider.

Villa could be very well placed, given their positioning to likely offer Champions League football next season, as well as regular game time in the Premier League.

They are in the market for a new player with attacking guile, while Newcastle are believed to have him shortlisted as a new exciting option in case they lose Anthony Gordon.

Spurs remain interested but have to play out their relegation battle before knowing if they could finally offer a deal and win the race. If they stay in the top-flight, they may finally show their hand in a financial sense to the player.

Meanwhile, sources suggest that other clubs in the division will be made aware of his availability if a transfer becomes definite in the next window.

As such, expect that both Manchester United and Liverpool could yet enter the picture.
