Brondby IF last held the top position in the Danish Superliga on 26 May 2024, going into the final matchday of the 2023–24 Danish Superliga season.
Brondby IF have made a strong start to the Superliga season and remain unbeaten. In the third round of the Superliga, the club from the Vestegnen area in Copenhagen secured a comfortable 2-0 away victory against newly promoted AC Horsens.
Marcus Younis scored in the first half, while an own goal by the home team's Mikkel Kupijbida doubled the lead after the break.
After three matches, Brondby have recorded two wins and a draw, moving into first place in the Danish Superliga.
However, both FC Copenhagen and FC Midtjylland have won their first two matches, but they are not participating in this round, as they are taking a break due to European fixtures.
AC Horsens have earned just one point in the first three rounds following the team's return to the Superliga.
On Sunday evening, the visitors needed just 12 minutes to further ignite the celebrations among the many traveling Brondby fans.
