Elsewhere, Dan Evans has been knocked out by Lorenzo Sonego. Despite winning the first set, the Brit was unable to secure victory as the Italian would win the game 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.

22:52 CET - Magda Linette has ended Victoria Azarenka's run in Miami with the Pole outlasting her opponent over two-and-a-half hours of tennis, winning 7-6, 2-6, 6-4.

21:08 CET - A real back-and-forth game between Yoshihito Nishioka and Alex Molcan went the distance. The Japanese world number 34 lost the first set in a tie-break before fighting back to win the second set 6-1. But Molcan was not to be deterred, winning the decider 6-2.

20:36 CET - USA's Mackenzie McDonald gave some cheer for the Miami crowd with a 7-6, 7-6 victory against Matteo Berrenttini.

20:20 CET - Cristian Garin continues his good 2023 with a straight-set victory over Sebastian Baez, prevailing 7-6, 6-3. In the women's draw, Qinwen Zheng needed three sets (7-5, 6-7, 6-3) to overcome Liudmila Samsonova.

19:16 CET - Beatriz Haddad Maia has been knocked out in Miami by Jelena Ostapenko in a real battling encounter. The Latvian Ostapenko took the first set 6-2, before losing the second 6-4. She battled back and recovered winning the decider 6-3.

Elsewhere, Australian Open champion Aryna Sabalenka got past Shelby Rogers with 6-4, 6-3 result.

The action continues and gets more interesting today! Felix Auger-Aliassime and Stefanos Tsitsipas both play their first matches this afternoon while Thanasi Kokkinakis, who has had good momentum so far, faces a test in Hubert Hurkacz. Indian Wells runner-up Daniil Medvedev takes to the court against Roberto Carballes Baena tonight as well.

In the WTA tour, the day starts with an exciting clash between Jelena Ostapenko and Beatriz Haddad Maia. Followed by local favourites Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula's matches. Victoria Azarenka will also be taking on Magda Linette.
