Tite (61) is stepping down from his position as Brazil head coach. His team exited the World Cup on Friday after losing to Croatia following a penalty shoot-out.

Tite managed Brazil since 2016 and guided them to winning Copa America in 2019. High flying Selecao were among the favourites to win the World Cup in Qatar, but fell to Croatia in the quarter-final. Despite dominating the game, they drew 1-1 after conceding a goal from the only shot they faced, and then lost in the penalty shootout after Rodrygo and Marquinhos failed to convert from the spot.

The coach announced his decision to step down at the press conference after the match.
