New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge hit home run No. 362 over the Green Monster in Fenway Park on Friday to surpass franchise legend Joe DiMaggio on the all-time home run list.

Judge now needs 130 more to surpass Lou Gehrig for third-most all-time in franchise history. His 362nd home run came in the bottom of the first inning off of Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Lucas Giolito

New York's future Hall of Famer entered Friday's game hitting an MLB-best .322 batting average and 1.112 OPS as he continues his run for a third MVP award.

The 33-year-old Judge now sits in fourth place with his 47 homers behind Shohei Ohtani (48), Kyle Schwarber (50), and the other American League MVP candidate, Cal Raleigh (53).

With just 15 more games to go after Friday, Judge has the opportunity to hit at least 50 home runs and bat at least .300 in three of the last four seasons, making him one of the greatest hitters in modern history.

New York is coming off a three-game series against the Detroit Tigers, losing two, sitting at 5-5 in their last 10 games as the race for the American League East division heats up.

The Bronx Bombers (81-65) are sitting 3.5 games behind the Toronto Blue Jays (84-62) for the division lead and hold the top spot in the AL Wild Card.
