Hughes rushed for 1,401 yards (9th in the FBS) and 15 touchdowns this past season earning All-American Athletic Conference first-team honours for the second season in a row, making him one of the top recruits to hit the portal.
This will now also mark the 12th player from Tulane to leave for the portal.
The now former Green Wave running back currently has two more years of eligibility remaining and is looking to go to a collegiate powerhouse to showcase his abilities. It is worth noting his younger brother, Na'eem Offord, committed to Oregon at the beginning of December.
The former three-star recruit out of Birmingham, Alabama earned AAC Rookie of the Year status his freshman year for Tulane after posting 1,378 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground.
All eight running backs ranked ahead of Hughes this season are entering the 2025 NFL Draft.
