The NFL is rapidly expanding its presence beyond the United States. This is evident in the viewership figures shared by the league itself, which reveal that 2025 has been its best year yet for international engagement on NFL Network since they began hosting regular season games abroad.

This year, the NFL scheduled six games outside the US: one in Dublin, three in London, one in Berlin, and one in Madrid. Collectively, these matchups drew an average of 6.2 million viewers on the mentioned platform, a 32% increase compared to 2024.

As for the first-ever NFL game played in Spain, the Miami Dolphins vs Washington Commanders, which the former prevailed 16-13, matchup drew an average of 5.9 million viewers, placing it directly among the top five most-watched international NFL Network games.

Additionally, according to data from the American league, the final 13 minutes of the game saw a peak audience of no less than eight million viewers tuning in to watch the dramatic overtime conclusion.
