Atlanta Braves star outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. (27) announced on Wednesday that he'll be taking part in the 2025 Home Run Derby.

Acuna was the first name to be announced for this year's Derby on Monday, July 14th.

Previous winners include Teoscar Hernandez (2024), Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (2023), Juan Soto (2022), and Pete Alonso (2021).

The Braves' star player returned in late May after tearing his ACL during the 2024 season, and he has returned to his prime form this year.

Acuna is slashing a ridiculous .385/.496/.692 through 29 games this season, along with nine home runs, the first of which came on the first pitch he saw in his return.

Prior to his early injury during the 2024 season, Acuna came off of a 2023 campaign in which he posted 41 home runs for the second time in his career along with a career-high 106 RBI and 73 stolen bases - earning him the National League MVP.

Acuna is currently in 4th place among outfielders for All-Star voting. Fans can vote for Acuna at the link here
