The Philadelphia 76ers signed former first-round pick Lonnie Walker IV to a two-year, $3 million deal on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old was waived by the Boston Celtics back in October after spending time with them during training camp. But eventually signed overseas with Lithuania's Zalgiris Kaunas, where he averaged 13.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.8 rebounds per game in 19 games played.
The club included an NBA opt-out clause in his contract, allowing him to sign with the 76ers.
He previously spent the past three years with three different teams in the San Antonio Spurs (2021-2022), Los Angeles Lakers (2022-2023), and the Brooklyn Nets (2023-2024).
Walker was taken 18th overall by the San Antonio Spurs in the 2018 NBA Draft. Over the course of his career, Walker averaged 9.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game.
