San Antonio Spurs guard De'Aron Fox (27) is set to undergo surgery to repair a tendon in his left pinkie and will miss the remainder of the season.

Fox was acquired in a trade with the Sacramento Kings at the beginning of February.

The former All-Star was averaging 19.7 points, 6.8 assists, and 4.3 rebounds for the Spurs this season in 17 games.

The news comes not too long after San Antonio's franchise player Victor Wembanyama was ruled out for the season with a blood clot

With the Spurs losing both of their young, star players for the season, it looks like fans will be looking forward to the offseason sooner rather than later as the team is currently on the outskirts of a playoff spot with a 27-37 record.
