Now that we have a break ahead of the NCAA March Madness Sweet 16 matchups, our United States news desk editors decided to put together their predictions for the upcoming matchups!

The Sweet 16 tips-off on March 27th at 7:09 p.m. Eastern time (New York) and will run through March 28th, with the final tip-off happening at 10:09 p.m.

Below, you will find Eric Himmelheber and David Parkes' picks for the upcoming matchups! For specific dates and times of each matchup, head on over to our March Madness tracker.

(6) BYU vs. (2) Alabama

Eric: Alabama - BYU has a lot of big-time wins this season, but when it comes down to skill level, I just don't see them overtaking Alabama.

David: Alabama - The Crimson Tide have rolled through their first two games in the tournament with relative ease. I think this is where things end for BYU, as Bama will be one step too far for them.

(4) Maryland vs. (1) Florida

Eric: Florida - Despite their thrilling win, Maryland barely scraping by Colorado State spells danger against arguably the best team in the entire tournament.

David: Florida - I have the Gators going all the way this year, and sometimes you need a scare to wake you up. Having knocked off the two-time defending champs in UConn last time out, I expect the momentum to carry on against a Maryland team who needed a buzzer-beater to advance.

(4) Arizona vs. (1) Duke

Eric: Duke - Duke has been destroying everything in their path on their way to the Sweet 16. Arizona better have the game of their life.

David: Duke - Eric and I are unanimous here, and for good reason. The Blue Devils look like the best team in the field right now, and the Wildcats will have to do much better than they did in their last game to have any hopes of advancing.

(10) Arkansas vs. (3) Texas Tech

Eric: Arkansas Texas Tech are coming off wins against smaller schools in UNC Wilmington and Drake. They beat the latter despite shooting 2 of 14 from three-point range. This is where Arkansas shows why they knocked off the two-seeded St. Johns as they continue their incredible run.

David: Texas Tech - The Red Raiders are always a difficult team to face, and have all the tools to make it to the Final Four and beyond. They may struggle from three-point land, but try outscoring them, Arkansas, that will not be easy.

(6) Ole Miss vs. (2) Michigan State

Eric: Ole Miss - Ole Miss are coming off a dominant win over (3) Iowa State in which they put up 91 points - the most they've given up since their very first game against Purdue. The Rebels are rolling, and I don't see their train stopping in this round.

David: Michigan State - The Spartans have not impressed me to be honest, and will have to step it up over a very good Ole Miss side. I still like MSU here, as I feel their best is yet to come.

(3) Kentucky vs. (2) Tennessee

Eric: Tennessee - This may possibly be the best game of the Sweet 16. It can come down to either team, but I see Tennessee pulling away within the final two minutes of the game to seal the win.

David: Tennessee - I am with Eric in saying that this game is going to be fun. I still have the Vols advancing here in a really tight one. I can easily see this one going either way though.

(5) Michigan vs. (1) Auburn

Eric: Auburn - Michigan's Vladislav Goldin and Danny Wolf are the best big-man duo I've watched all tournament and will undoubtedly be a problem. But Auburn's all-around skill will eventually get the best of Michigan's backcourt. But I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if Michigan knocks off the number-one seed.

David: Michigan - When I was making my bracket, I took one look at Auburn's form going into the tournament, and had them go down to.... Michigan. I am very confident the Wolverines would love a shot at their biggest rivals in the Elite Eight.

(4) Purdue vs. (1) Houston

Eric: Houston - Purdue have looked stellar up to this point. However, they faced a 13th seed High Point then a 12th seed McNeese St and failed to score at least 80 points in both. I don't think Houston will blow Purdue out, but I can't see them pulling off an upset here.

David: Houston - The Cougars will have it tough against last year's runners-up. They will most certainly have to step it up as well, as Gonzaga gave them a run for their money last weekend. I still see them doing just enough to edge the Boilermakers by one or two possessions.
