At the competition, D’Tigress will battle host nation France, Germany, South Korea, Colombia, and the Philippines for a place in the next round.

Coach Wakama has assembled a balanced roster that blends youth and experience as the African champions aim to maintain their impressive global rise. Key players such as Ezinne Kalu, Elizabeth Balogun, and Promise Amukamara headline the squad.

They are joined by Pius Beggi Idubano, Nicole Enabosi, Victoria Macaulay, Murjanatu Musa, Pallas Kunayi-Akpannah, Grace Efosa, Amy Okonkwo, and Ayomide Tewogbade Mololuwa.

Rita Igbokwe, Ifunaya Okoro, Wandoo Hemba, Adenike Olawuyi, Sarah Ogoke, and Blessing Ejiofor complete the talented lineup selected for the crucial qualifiers.

Nigeria will tip off their campaign against Colombia on March 11th before facing Asian powerhouse South Korea the following day.

They will then meet the Philippines on March 14th, take on hosts France on March 15th, and conclude their group fixtures against Germany on March 17th. The top three teams will progress to the next stage.

Nigeria defeated Mali in the final of the 2025 Women’s AfroBasket, becoming the first country in the tournament’s history to win the title five consecutive times.

They defeated their West African rivals 78-64 in a hard-fought clash at the Palais des Sports de Treichville in Abidjan.
