The Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Seattle Mariners 4-3 after a clutch George Springer home run in the bottom of the seventh inning to advance to the World Series!

Toronto now advances to their first World Series since 1992 and 1993 - when they won back-to-back World Series.

They will take on the Los Angeles Dodgers with Game 1 scheduled for Friday, October 24th.

Now, let's go over a game breakdown with each score during this crazy Game 7 that led to Springer's home run!

Mariners 1-0

Neither team wasted any time putting up runs on the board.

Seattle put up their first thanks to a Josh Naylor RBI single that scored Julio Rodriguez from second following his double.

The Mariners would get rung up on a wild double play after Naylor intentionally jumped and turned his back to the ball to break up the play.

Since it was clear interference, the inning ending with the Mariners up 1-0.

Blue Jays 1-1

Toronto would retaliate shortly after in the bottom of the first.

After George Springer hit a single, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. would get him over to second with a single of his own.

Daulton Varsho would be the hero to bring in Springer from second off an RBI single to make it 1-1.

The Jays finished the inning leaving Vladdy stranded on third base.

Second inning rolled around and Blue Jays starting pitcher Shane Bieber got himself out of a big jam.

After back-to-back singles from Randy Arozarena and Eugenio Suarez, both runners advanced on a sacrfice from J.P. Crawford.

Bieber would go on to finish the inning without allowing a single run.

Mariners 2-1

After a double in the first, J-Rod hit a solo home run in the third to put the Mariners up 2-1 in the biggest game of his life.

It was J-Rod's fourth home run of the postseason and ninth RBI.

After going 3.2 innings, Bieber was done for the evening. He finished after giving up two earned runs on seven hits, recording five strikeouts and one walk.

After inheriting two of Bieber's base runners with two out, Louis Varland would come in to finish out the top half of the fourth inning to minimize damage.

Mariners 3-1

Seattle's MVP candidate Cal Raleigh would add another run for the Mariners after launching a solo home run to deep right field off of Varland in the top of the fifth inning.

It would be the Mariners lead for another two innings until mayhem ensued...

Blue Jays 4-3

After Addison Barger and Isiah Kiner-Falefa got on base with no outs in the bottom of the seventh inning off, Andres Gimenez would bunt both runners over to put them on second and third with one out.

Out goes Mariners pitcher Bryan Woo and in comes Springer to the plate to face Edwuard Bazardo on the mound.

Then, Springer played hero with a three-run home run to take give his Blue Jays the lead that eventually sealed the deal.

After giving up three runs between Bieber and Varland, the Blue Jays' bullpen didn't allow a single hit the entire rest of the game.

Toronto finished the game going 2-for-6 with runners in scoring position, while the Mariners finished 1-for-7.

The Mariners' hopes of reaching the World Series for the first time in franchise history will be held off for another year, making it 48 straight years without a World Series appearance.
