The Chicago Bulls waived Jaden Ivey after he posted a long rant on social media that included religious topics and anti-LGBTQ remarks directed at the NBA's celebration of Pride Month.

Ivey, 24, deleted all of his social media and declared the NBA's promotion of Pride Month as "unrighteousness" and continued for hours.

Chicago originally traded for Ivey ahead of the NBA trade deadline this season in a three-team trade that involved the Detroit Pistons and Minnesota Timberwolves.

Ivey endured a broken fibula back in January 2025 when he was still in Detroit and missed the first 15 games of the season this year. He hasn't played more than 40 games in a season since 2023-2024. The young guard was part of the 2022-2023 All-Rookie Team and is averaging career lows this season, putting up 8.5 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game.

Chicago is currently 29-45 on the season and have been eliminated from playoff contention.
