Cleveland won the first game 8-0 then the second 6-0. They now sit just one game behind the Detroit Tigers for the American League Central division lead.
Detroit is currently riding a five-game losing streak and have lost eight of their last 10 games.
They are outscoring their opponents 48-13 during the win streak, having also lost only one series in September so far.
Starting pitcher Slade Cecconi earned a two-hit, seven-inning shutout in the fist game while Logan Allen tossed an eight-inning shutout in the second game, giving up just four hits. Both starters combined for 15 strikeouts and only two walks.
Guardians superstar Jose Ramirez also became the first player in franchise history to reach 30 home runs and 30 stolen bases in three different seasons.
He now joins Juan Soto and Jazz Chisholm Jr. as the only players in the 30-30 club this season. This season also marked Ramirez's second straight season of at least 30 homers and 40 stolen bases - proving to everyone why he's one of the best players in baseball.
Cleveland wraps up their series with the Twins on Sunday before heading back home to face the Tigers in three games - in what will be the most crucial series of their entire season - before ending the year with three games against the Texas Rangers.
