Here's a snapshot of how your club manager felt about their respective results at the weekend.

Newcastle Jets 4-5 Macarthur FC

Mark Milligan (Newcastle Jets):

"I don't think we did enough to win that game by any means. The result is down to us and how we went about. We didn't start well and were always chasing the game, which opened us up defensively. I'm not sure why we had a sluggish start. There were no signs for me in the lead-up that it was going to be an issue. The way the game went definitely suited them more than it suited us. The result is down to decisions that I made. In the second half we showed character, but I don't want us to just be a team that shows character."

Mile Sterjovski (Macarthur FC):

"I'm pleased with the win. I just have a bit of a sour taste in my mouth with a few of the decisions from the referee. I thought it was the same for both teams but I think some of the decisions for the yellow cards were not favourable. I think our captain should be able to speak to the referee. I think the ref lost the game a little bit for both teams today. There were so many fouls that he missed, especially on Harrison Sawyer. That's why there was a lot of frustration. You can hear it in my voice: I'm delighted we won the game but very frustrated."

Adelaide United 3-2 Western Sydney Wanderers

Airton Andrioli (Adelaide United):

"We did what we needed to do tonight. In a football match you can do everything right and lose, or do everything right and win. Three points will go a long way. We wanted to reward our supporters with a big win and we did that. It has been an interesting season this season. Anyone can beat anyone on their day. We need to make sure we are not that team that is unpredictable and inconsistent."

Alen Stajcic (Western Sydney Wanderers):

"I thought we should have won that game. It was heartbreaking to lose it in that matter. The boys gave it everything and football can be a cruel game. I thought it was one of those games. I think we've been one of the strongest teams defensively this season. Our xG against is one of the lowest in the league. Tonight we got caught on transition which is unusual for us. We should have dealt with those situations better. I thought we played really well on the ball."

Melbourne City 1-3 Perth Glory

Aurelio Vidmar (Melbourne City):

"We started with poor attitude and behaviours. When you give them a two-goal head start after 20 minutes, it becomes very difficult. We are negative with what we are doing at the moment. What made us good last season and up to this point is all of the behaviours we're looking for like aggression and moving the ball quickly. That just wasn't evident in the first half. The second half was a lot better. Why was the second half so different than the first half? We've got to find a way through that."

Adam Griffiths (Perth Glory):

"Hunger, a lot of work, belief and a clear message. (City) are a very good ball possession team. We tried to stop that from happening and we got them on the counter. We didn't even look at stats (before the match). There's too much data in the world. We don't care about stats anymore. We have emotion and feeling and that was the number one thing we delivered today. We've got to refocus, reset, stay humble and go again on Friday."

Melbourne Victory 5-1 Wellington Phoenix

Arthur Diles (Melbourne Victory):

"It wasn't five-stars but I'm pleased with the performance. The performance took care of the result and that's the most pleasing part. (Vergos' goals) is a result of hard work. He hasn't changed his attitude, or his application, or his work ethic. I was always confident that things would turn for him in a matter of time. It's great for him, and more importantly, it's great for the team. The team is improving every week, which is important because we've got a high ceiling. We're not where we need to be yet and the important thing is that each week we get better and better."

Giancarlo Italiano (Wellington Phoenix):

"Every goal that we conceded was preventable. The first goal was a good header but there was sloppy second-phase awareness for the first two goals. The third, fourth and fifth goals were for me comical. There was a lack of pressure on the ball and being aware of where their dangers were. They were uncharacteristic goals. We didn't use the high line tonight because we felt weather was going to be an issue, and we should have managed it better.

Central Coast Mariners 1-2 Brisbane Roar

Warren Moon (Central Coast Mariners):

"Massive disappointment, because I think it was clear to see that we had the better of the game. With the chances we created, we should have won the match. I'm frustrated because not only did we get nothing from the game, but I'm disappointed with the manner of when it happened and where it happened. I feel the boys deserved more. We're looking for more in the final third as we're lacking that clinical edge where we can hurt sides. We're not getting outplayed in any game."

Michael Valkanis (Brisbane Roar):

"It was always going to be a difficult game, but we came here to take three points and we did it. I loved the passion and the effort of the boys to keep going. We can celebrate, but we have a game in two days. Wellington is already in Brisbane and we're here. It's an interesting ten days coming up."
