The Dallas Stars and AT&T Stadium, home of the NFL's Dallas Cowboys, will host the National Hockey League's 2026-2027 Stadium Series, as announced on Monday.

It will be the first time a hockey game will be in the stadium's history since it was completed in 2009.

The game will take place on February 20, 2027.

"Hosting the NHL Stadium Series with the Dallas Stars is another great example of the vision we've always had for what AT&T Stadium could be beyond football," said Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. "The game will be another proud moment for us and being able to provide a world-class fan and team experience in partnership with two outstanding organizations, the NHL and the Stars, will be very special."

The stadium does feature a retractable roof. On the off chance the roof is opened, it'll be the second time the Stars have played in an outdoor rink - the first was during the 2020 Winter Classic when they beat the Nashville Predators 4-2 at the Cotton Bowl, also in Dallas.

This season's Stadium Series will be played on February 1, 2026, in a matchup between the Boston Bruins and Tampa Bay Lightning at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Raymond James Stadium.
