Alexandra Palace will remain the long-term home of the Paddy Power World Darts Championship after agreeing a new five-year contract with the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC), securing the event at the venue until at least 2031.

Held at the iconic venue since 2007, the extension marks a pivotal moment for the tournament, which will relocate to Alexandra Palace's Great Hall from the 2026/27 season, representing the most significant structural change in its modern history.

The shift will expand overall capacity to approximately 180,000 spectators, an increase of more than 70,000, while individual sessions are expected to accommodate more than 5,000 fans.

The decision responds to rising global demand for tickets, with the Championship now firmly established as one of the most recognisable fixtures in the international sporting calendar.

This year's edition runs from December 11th, 2025, to January 3rd, 2026, featuring reigning champion Luke Littler as he attempts to defend the title he won in sensational style last season.

Matt Porter, the PDC's chief executive, said: "Alexandra Palace has become synonymous with the World Darts Championship, and we are thrilled to extend our partnership through to at least 2031.

"Ally Pally at Christmas is the identity of the tournament; its atmosphere is unmatched anywhere in sport.

"Demand for tickets has never been higher, and moving into the Great Hall from 2026/27 will allow more fans than ever to enjoy this incredible event."
