Gerwyn Price won the first-ever Premier League of Darts night in Antwerp, Belgium, after beating the previously unbeaten Michael van Gerwen 6-3.

Just days after Price beat Van Gerwen 6-0 on the Pro Tour, the Green Machine had to fight back from an early 2-0 deficit, but did so in style after hitting 167 and 160 finishes in back-to-back legs.

The Iceman answered with a break and kept a hold of his own leg to restore his two-leg lead over the favoured Dutchman, who'd won all five of his previous 2026 Premier League games after a Night One win in Newcastle. After Van Gerwen missed tops to break Price's streak, the Welshman was one leg away from cracking the code and claiming a famous Antwerp win.

Van Gerwen's struggles continued in the final leg, missing two darts to stay in the game but being given another chance after Price missed three match darts. A massive leg still put Price in a prime position to claim the first-ever Antwerp crown, which he did with a tops finish and a match average of 104.

After Luke Humphries opened the Premier League era in Antwerp with a 180, Luke Littler started the match with sloppy misses on the doubles, allowing Humphries to take the lead. Following a comeback, it came down to the wire - two missed match darts on D10 from Littler caused a scene, but three missed match darts from Humphries topped it all as Luke Littler clinched his first semi-final berth of the 2026 Premier League.

Week 1 winner Michael van Gerwen then dealt with Josh Rock with relative ease, brushing aside the Northern Irishman in eight legs after Rock's disappointing 15% checkout rate after a 2/13 outing. Rock will have to wait for Night Three in Glasgow to potentially win a first point of the year.

Jonny Clayton staged a shocking comeback after going down 4-0 to start his matchup with Stephen Bunting, going from averaging below 90 to scoring 113 after eight legs. Clayton left his best finish for last, capping off a magnificent turnaround with a 124 finish to eliminate Bunting early and leave the Bullet pointless after two Premier League weeks.

A clinical Gian van Veen put former world champion Gerwyn Price in trouble early, but was soon put into trouble by the Iceman after missing some pivotal doubles and handing Price a late lead. It came down to the eleventh leg, and after both players missed the double bull to ice the win, Price edged the win on his second match dart to beat Van Veen a ninth time in 10 meetings.

Luke Littler dropped two costly breaks against Van Gerwen in a true primetime semifinal that saw the Dutchman average 100+ and prevent Littler from making the final again, finishing him off on his second match dart to secure a second-straight final appearance.

In a battle between two World Cup teammates, Jonny Clayton nearly booked his first ticket for a 2026 Premier League final, but dropped two of his last three own legs to allow Gerwyn Price the chance to fight Michael van Gerwen in Antwerp's first-ever Premier League final.
