The Denver Broncos signed defensive tackle Malcolm Roach to a three-year, $29.25 million contract extension on Thursday.

Roach's new contract includes $14 million in guaranteed as he becomes one of many core players who signed extensions with the team this season.

Denver just signed centre Luke Wattenberg to a four-year, $48 million contract extension on Tuesday. Before him, the franchise locked up other key pieces for the foreseeable future, including wide receiver Courtland Sutton (four years, $92 million), EDGE Nik Bonito (four years, $102 million base), defensive lineman Zach Allen (four years, $102 million base), and kicker Wil Lutz (three years, $16.1 million).

Roach missed the first five games of the season with a calf strain, but is still one sack away from setting a career high with three.

He has 21 tackles, four quarterback hurries, two sacks, and one quarterback hit in eight pressures through six games - all games in which Denver won.

The 27-year-old signed with the New Orleans Saints in 2020 as an undrafted free agent, where he spent the first four years of his career before joining the Bronocs in 2024.

Roach has 154 tackles, 25.5 stuffs, six pass deflections, five sacks, one forced fumble, and one interception through 64 games in his seven-year career.
