Two-time German champions Lemgo are now level on points with Flensburg in third place. Flensburg mounted a strong comeback in the closing stages, but their late surge wasn’t enough. The team from northern Germany had already dropped a point in their recent 37-37 draw against Gummersbach.
Flensburg’s top scorer was Simon Pytlick, who netted nine times. It was officially announced on Monday that the Danish Olympic champion will join league rivals Füchse Berlin from 2027. For Lemgo, Samuel Zehnder also scored nine goals.
