Fuchse confirmed on their website that they have signed Simon Pytlick, who will join the club in 2027. Pytlick is currently under contract at Flensburg-Handewitt, where he has played since the summer of 2023.
At Füchse, Pytlick will also meet some old acquaintances. The 1.92-metre-tall player played for GOG from 2019 to 2023 before moving to Flensburg. In Denmark at GOG, he played alongside Mathias Gidsel, with whom he later won Olympic gold in Paris in 2024, and was a protégé of coach Nicolej Krickau.
With Flensburg, he won the EHF European League in 2024 and 2025, and with the Danish national team, for whom he has scored 259 goals in 57 games, he won Olympic gold as well as two World Championships, in 2023 and 2025.
"I'm looking forward to playing in Berlin from 2027. I hope that I can be part of an already incredibly good and well-functioning team that can take further steps in the right direction in the future", says Simon Pytlick to the Fuchse website.
Coach and Sports Director Nicolej Krickau is thrilled that the transfer has gone through and says:

Simon will fit perfectly into our concept, because we want to play attractive and effective handball. We also have a healthy squad at the moment, so Simon fits in perfectly.
