The 30-year old Danish international Jacob Holm from PSG will return to Denmark to join Skjern Handball on a four-year contract at the end of this season.

"When I spoke to Thomas Klitgaard (Skjern sports manager, ed.), I could feel that it was a task that motivated me a lot. At the same time, my wife had a desire to get closer to our family now that we are facing a family addition next month. We have a two-year-old son and are expecting one more. It was a combination of the two things.

"I also have a relationship with Skjern, and I grew up driving to Skjern to watch league handball. It was very attractive to be able to run out in the Skjern Bank Arena in the green jersey", says Jacob Holm to TV2 Sport.

Jacob Holm has been out with an Achilles tendon injury since May last year.

The 30-year-old from Esbjerg played handball in Skjern in his youth, before moving via Ribe-Esbjerg to German Füchse Berlin and later French Paris Saint-Germain, where he plays now.

Holm has twice won the World Championships with Denmark, won silver at the Olympics in 2021, and also won silver at the 2022 European Championships
