Danish handball ace Kathrine Heindahl will make her comeback on the Danish national team after she has been called up to replace the injured Sofie Bardrum for the EHF Euro Cup where Denmark will face the Czech Republic and Turkey next weekend

Kathrine Heindahl will make a comeback for the Danish women's handball team, after pregnancy and maternity leave have kept her away from the national team since the 2024 Olympics.

"Heindahl has done well for Team Esbjerg in both the league and the Champions League, and with the injury to Sofie Bardrum, it was natural to send a message for her", says national team coach Helle Thomsen in a press release and continues:

"With Kathrine Heindahl in the team, we will have a strong defender who can step in and strengthen our defense against the Czech Republic. I look forward to seeing her on the court together with the new players who have joined the national team in the past year."

The Danish women's handball team is gathered this week ahead of the last two games in the group stage of the EHF EURO Cup against the Czech Republic and Turkey.

Kathrine Heindahl will initially only play the game on Thursday against the Czech Republic. After that, Nanna Hinnerfeldt will join the squad instead and play the game against Turkey in Kolding on Sunday.
