Denmark rounded off their participation in the Golden League by cruising past the Faroe Islands with a 39-24 win to underline that Nikolaj Jacobsen's men are huge favorites to win the European Championships in January.

On Sunday, Nikolaj Jacobsen's team won the third and last match at the Golden League event in Norway when they crushed the Faroe Islands by a whopping 39-24.

Denmark thus won the event, since Mathias Gidsel and co. recorded resounding wins against Norway, the Netherlands, and the Faroe Islands in four days.

The Norwegians were actually the only ones who managed to give Denmark just a little resistance during the three games.

On Saturday, Jacobsen's team won by 16 goals against the Netherlands, and on Sunday, there was never any doubt about the outcome of the match either.

Therefore, Nikolaj Jacobsen also gave playing time to several of the players who are fighting for a place in the squad for the European Championships.

At the same time, he had the luxury of providing a little rest on the bench for several of his biggest stars along the way.

In January, Denmark will try to win the European Championships for the first time in 14 years, when the final round will be held in Sweden, Norway, and Denmark.

However, Nikolaj Jacobsen's team are already big favorites with the bookmakers to win the tournament, with the final being staged in Denmark.
