The Dallas Stars ended the Washington Capitals' 10-game road win streak on Monday while the Florida Panthers put a stop to the Edmonton Oilers' league-leading five-game win streak.

The Capitals got out to a 1-0 lead in the first quarter thanks to a powerplay goal from Dylan Strome (11). But Dallas answered with three straight goals, two from Roope Hintz (13) and one from Lian Bichsel (2).

The Stars improve to 19-11-0 while the Caps still maintain their number one spot in the Metro division with a 21-7-2 record.

Panthers 6-5 Oilers

Edmonton's five-game win streak ended at the hands of the same team that just beat them in the Stanley Cup Finals. The Oilers went up 4-2 after scoring three straight goals in the second period before the Panthers answered back with three consecutive goals of their own to go up 5-4.

After Kasperi Kapanen (4) tied it up in the third period for Edmonton, Florida's Carter Verhaeghe (9) put the goal ahead goal up with just under seven minutes to go to seal a thrilling win for the Panthers.
