The Detroit Red Wings bested the Montreal Canadiens by a score of 4-2, ending their three-game losing streak, while the Vegas Golden Knights beat the St. Louis Blues 4-2 to end their four-game losing streak.
Flames stay hot as Calgary has now won five of the last seven games following their 5-2 win over the Buffalo Sabres.
In the later games, Alexander Ovechkin scored again as the Washington Capitals downed the Seattle Kraken 3-0 while the Anaheim Ducks demolished the Pittsburgh Penguins 5-1. Lastly, the Nashville Predators edged the San Jose Sharks 6-5 in a thriller.
