The Seattle Kraken signed defenceman Ryker Evans to a two-year, $4.1 million contract on Monday.

Evans will carry a $2.025 million salary in the first year, along with a $75K signing bonus, while earning $2 million in 2026.

The 23-year-old took a major leap in his second season, posting five goals and 20 assists with a 19:29 average ice time.

Seattle drafted Evans with the 35th overall pick in the 2021 NHL Draft. He debuted during the 2023 season, scoring one goal while racking up eight assists in 36 games.

“Ryker took a positive step forward in his first full season in the NHL,” said Kraken General Manager Jason Botterill. “Since turning pro, he's shown improvement year over year, and we're confident he'll take his game to another level next season. We're happy to have him under contract."
