Winnipeg continues to be an unstoppable force as they are not just breaking the franchise win-streak record (10) in a single season but extended it to now 11 games following a win over the Ottawa Senators.

The Jets got out to a 3-0 lead with goals by Cole Perfetti (12), Mason Appleton (8), and Team USA member Kyle Connor (31) before the Senators could respond with a goal of their own.

But Thomas Chabot's (5) in the second period to cut Winnipeg's lead to two wasn't enough.

Lifetime Jets player and fan-favourite Mark Scheifele (33) added to his already franchise-high career goals record with an empty-netter to put the final nail in the Senators' coffin en route to a 4-1 win.

Despite Ottawa holding the league's best power play team to 0-for-4, winning 60 percent of the faceoffs, and recording more hits (29-19), it still wasn't enough.

The Jets outshot the Senators 39-25 to move on to their 11th straight win.

They haven't lost since January 20th, when they faltered in a 5-2 loss to Utah.

Tim Stutzle also extended his point streak to 10 games for the Jets.

Ottawa's woes

The Senators now possess the second-worst losing streak in the league after losing five in a row while being outscored 19-8.

To add insult to injury, Senators defenceman Tyler Kleven (23) left the game with an upper-body injury following his fight with Adam Lowry (31).

The fight occurred after Kleven laid a giant hit on Mason Appleton (29).

The San Jose Sharks currently possess the worst losing streak in the league at six games.

If they lose to the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday, it'll be a battle of who ends their losing streak first between the Sharks and Senators on March 1st.
