Skelleftea are one win away from claiming the Le Mat Trophy once again after a 3-2 away win over Rogle in game four of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) Finals, which puts them 3-1 up in the series.

An overtime win in game three ensured Rogle would not suffer a whitewash, and another home win would see them level the series before travelling back north.

But a confident first 15 minutes from the visitors put killed off much of Rogle's momentum - in the ninth minute, Skelleftea broke out of their own zone with a nice pass from Jonathan Davidsson which sent Emil Djuse away down the right side before he buried his strike to give his side the lead.

Rogle had chances to equalise, only to find themselves 2-0 down soon after, when Jonathan Pudas squared the puck along the blue line to Viktor Grahn, who fired the puck through traffic.

The home side were back in it in the final two minutes of the period - Leon Bristedt used his strength in the attacking zone to knock the puck loose, and it fell kindly for Fredrik Olofsson to strike from in front of the net.

The Angelholm side had a great chance to equalise eight minutes into period two when Lubos Horky was fouled and the officials awarded a penalty, only for Linus Sandin to fire wide when up against Strauss Mann. The visitors were then on top for much of the rest of the second period but couldn't find a way through.

However, Skelleftea needed less than four minutes to open their two-goal lead again in the third, as Oliver Okuliar and Par Lindholm opened a two-on-one. Lindholm squared to Okuliar, who drew the goaltender before passing back across for Lindholm to tap into the empty net.

SAIK's hard work almost came undone in the latter stages after Max Krogdahl was called for holding and this time Sandin made no mistake with a ferocious finish to make it 3-2 on the powerplay, but the number one seeds held on to take a precious away win.

Skelleftea will have the chance to win the SHL title for the second time in three years back on home ice in game five on Saturday 2nd May.
