Defeat in the 2025/26 Swedish Hockey League (SHL) season has now been tasted by every club, after previously-perfect Frolunda were defeated 4-3 away at Farjestad despite a late rally.

Frolunda made the trip on the back of four wins in four, all done and dusted in 60 minutes, with the latest an 11-2 drubbing of Djurgarden in Stockholm. But that form counted for little when Oskar Steen put Farjestad ahead in the eighth minute.

It took until five minutes into the second period for the Karlstad side to double their lead through Linus Johansson, but that served to open the floodgates, as Marian Studenic and Noel Fransen extended the lead to 4-0 just past the midpoint in the match.

Henrik Tommernes pulled one back for the visitors in the final minute of the second, before tempers flared on the buzzer which led to Dominik Egli being called for slashing, while Jere Innala, Adam Mattsson and Studenic were all given two minutes for roughing.

That incident seemed to stoke the fire inside the Frolunda men, as with seven minutes to play, Egli scored to make it a two-goal game, before he notched an assist in the last minute for Innala to set up a grandstand finish, but Frolunda were unable to tie the game in the final seconds.

The 4-3 win is Farjestad's third victory across the five rounds so far, they sit in fourth place on 10 points, two fewer than Frolunda.

Frolunda remain top of the standings, but now only on goal difference as Vaxjo picked up their fourth win of the campaign, beating Orebro 4-1, as did Timra who won 4-3 at HV71. Timra's win was their fourth on the bounce, while the hosts remain bottom without a point.

HV71 are now the only side without a victory, let alone a point, as Linkoping grabbed three points and recorded a shutout for good measure in their 2-0 win away at Rogle, who have slipped to seventh with eight points so far.

Leksand and Djurgarden had both seen two defeats follow two wins so far this season, and they both bounced back in Round 5 - Leksand came away victorious from an 8-5 goalfest at home to Skelleftea, while the new boys impressed with a 4-2 win away at champions Lulea.

They both complete the top six in the SHL, yet three defeats on the bounce for Lulea has seen them slip to ninth. Skelleftea are a place further back.

On the way up are Malmo - the Redhawks lost their first two but have now recorded three wins in succession, the latest a 5-2 win over Brynas, who are in 11th place.
