14:15 CET - A huge win for Jasmine Paolini in the race for the WTA finals after the Italian produced a brilliant performance to stun world number two Iga Swiatek in Wuhan.
Paolini outclassed Iga Swiatek in just over an hour to win 6-1, 6-2 to book her spot in the semi-finals and massively help her chances of reaching next month's WTA finals in Riyadh.
11:05 CET - Coco Gauff had no issues cruising to a win over 37-year-old Laura Siegemund, sealing a 6-3, 6-0 victory to move into the Wuhan last four. She will face the winner of Iga Swiatek vs Jasmine Paolini, which gets underway in a little under two hours.
10:42 CET - What a week it has been for Arthur Rinderknech! The Frenchman is into his very first Masters 1000 semi-final, seeing off the in-form Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-3, 6-4 in Shanghai.
The 30-year-old is now projected to move up to a career-high 37 in the world rankings! Meanwhile, Auger-Aliassime's chances of qualifying for the ATP Finals now look unlikely.
08:37 CET - Aryna Sabalenka continues to prove why she has NEVER lost a match in Wuhan, with the three-time defending champion putting in a supreme performance to ease to a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Elena Rybakina in just under an hour and a half.
She will face Jessica Pegula in the semi-finals, in a rematch of their US Open last-four meeting a few weeks ago.
For Rybakina, it is a major hit for her chances of qualifying for the WTA Finals, with Jasmine Paolini currently ahead of her occupying that eighth and final spot.
